Some things make more sense in a voice than on a page. Stories, observations, and the occasional small ritual — for walking, cooking, folding laundry, hiding in the bathroom for ten minutes, or lying awake after the house has finally gone quiet.
I record these in my own voice — no radio-announcer polish, no dramatic whisper. Just the piece, read the way I would say it to you if you were sitting at my kitchen table while the kettle came up to the boil.
