The 21-Day Mindfulness Card Deck
Twenty-one cards — one for each day — to slow the noise and come back to yourself. Print them, cut them out, keep them by the kettle. Yours, free.
Land
Put both feet flat on the floor. Feel it hold you. You don’t have to earn the ground before you’re allowed to rest on it.
The Longer Exhale
In for four, out for six. The long exhale is the body’s oldest word for safe. Five rounds.
One True Thing
Say one true thing aloud, with no fixing attached. “I am tired.” “I am here.” Let it be enough.
Warmth
Hold something warm. Notice its weight, its heat, its edges. Attention is a kind of prayer.
The Unfinished
You are allowed to be a work in progress and worthy on the same day. Both are true. Breathe into both.
Name the Weather
What’s the weather inside you right now? Name it like a forecast, not a verdict. Then let it pass through.
Small Return
Notice the moment your mind wandered. That noticing IS the practice. Come back, gently, no scolding.
Put It Down
Name one thing you’re carrying that isn’t yours to hold today. Set it on the table beside you. Walk on.
The Body Knows
Scan from crown to feet. Where are you clenching? Unclench it by ten percent. That’s plenty.
Enough
Whisper: “I have done enough for now.” Notice what argues back. Thank it. Say it again anyway.
The Quiet Room
Sit in the finished quiet after the day has stopped asking. You do not have to answer anymore tonight.
Tend One Thing
Water a plant, wipe one surface, smooth one corner. Care, made small, still counts as care.
Signal
Before you reach for the phone, pause. Ask: what am I actually looking for? Give that to yourself instead.
Wildness
You are not too much. You were never too much. Take up the room your breath needs. All of it.
The Kind Sentence
Write one sentence to yourself the way you’d write it to someone you love. Read it twice.
Slow Water
Drink something slowly, all the way to the bottom. Let one thing today be unhurried on purpose.
Threshold
Stand in a doorway. Name what you’re leaving behind you and what you’re walking toward. Then cross it.
The Ground Was Always There
Remember a time you were sure you’d fall and didn’t. The ground was there. It still is.
Return to Yourself
Ask the simple, advanced question: what would I like? Sit with it, even if the answer is small.
Homecoming
You are the room you keep coming back to. Light one small thing. Say: welcome home.
Begin Again, Softer
Nothing has to be fixed tonight. Close the day like a book you’ll open again tomorrow — softer.
